OM - Our hard work paid off!

Finally OM (Odyssey of the Mind) has passed. Luckily our hard work paid off. I wasn’t expecting anything but participation because i always thought SAJC stands minimal chance in winning this kind of competition, especially we are competing with the ‘on’ schools. I am really glad that we are able to be second runner-up!!! (note that there’re not only 3 teams, there’re 9!) Yeah~!!!! After watching other groups’ performance, i thought my team stands no chance to win because theirs were so entertaining with singing and dancing, whereas ours (storyline and the way we performed) was so serious. Totally different style. However the judges’ comments were ‘high level creativity shown’, ‘good teamwork’, ‘appropriate costume but a bit too skimpy :P’, ‘nice hair style, throne’ and so on. Haha~ It’s undeniable that our costume and hair style are more elaborate. We spent a lot on the cloth!
After all i want to thank my team members - Kanesh, Yin May,Emily, Sarah, Alison and Poh Xuan. Thanks for giving me such a memorable experience in my JC life. Haha in the process px and i did learn something new, and we have the same opinion - make-up sucks! Although i lacked sleep for quite some days because of doing the props, i think it’s worth it! Oh ya, i must stress that i like the spontaneous part, it’s so interesting~ However i feel sorry for the only group in division 4, they get nothing after all, not because they sucked, but because they had no competitors. It’s so unfair. The organizer didn’t handle this well…
