When i was just back in Malaysia, my parents, aunts, uncles, whoever just kept telling me that Malaysia is not like Singapore, i must be very careful and i shouldn’t be allowed to go anywhere as i like, especially alone, it’s very dangerous to carry a bag out, etc etc etc.
They started giving me some examples like Auntie ABC’s bag was snatched right in front of her house when she’s entering her house, Auntie DEF’s house and Uncle XYZ’s office were broken into when no one was in, etc etc etc. Also some from newspapers - about snatch thefts, rapes, murders, etc etc etc.
I had always thought they’re exaggerating. Maybe I was really wrong.
Last Sunday, i went to Petaling Jaya in my relative’s car, they were telling me same things. Somehow i wasn’t very heedful to their cautionary words. Suddenly when we’re entering their neighbourhood, two motor bikes sped past our car. A cop chasing some criminal, we supposed. The criminal turned to the right but the cop overshot. Having a hard brake, the cop turned into the junction and continued.
On Tuesday, i was going to meet some friends at KL Sentral. When the bus was reaching the station, i saw some crowd near the car park. A guys was struggling while the others were trying to capture him. He must have done something wrong, i wondered. Another eye-opener.
Yesterday night, my dad was saying that he wanted to install some surveillance camera for tighter security in his office. I really thought it’s redundant. The office can’t be appealing to any burglar as it’s too old and humble to invite any. I was wrong again! Once i woke up this morning, i was told that office has been broken in!

Its not that you’re fated to be proven wrong, you just need to trust the press and accept the reality… its good to have your own opinions, but some things are facts, its not up to you to decide whether its true or not…
Haha… i guess that explains the message you sent to me awhile ago =P… thx… Well, for me i havent personally seen or experience any crimes happening in live before, but i suppose u have nothing to lose by keeping both eyes open so that nothing bad will happen to you =D Happy New Year !!
Hey, don’t be so sensitive. Something may also happen although you didn’t talk about it. And what happen to you recently, don’t be such negative.. Cheer up!! ^^
