This was written on the day i left Singapore (6th December)

I feel that you are like a little girl…”
在我睡不醒时叫醒我;在我糊涂时提醒我;
在我做错事时责备我;在我被欺负时拥护我;
在我不开心时开解我;在我偷懒时鞭策我……
谢谢你们!真得很不好意思哦……麻烦你们了,辛苦你们了……

I said I was bored in the previous post. I shouldn’t have said that… From the next day onwards, almost everyday had been extremely exhausting and tiring. I was really busy traveling here and there. Despite the tiredness, the days were fun and crazy enough to be the very fond memory of mine in Singapore. So now I’m trying to keep a record of the days, and at the very same moment, reminiscing about them…
20th November 2006 (Mon)
There’s Bio paper 3 today. I promised to go Bugis with px after that. Sy cannot make it, so I wanted to cancel the outing. But I perceived some sad mood in px that stopped me from telling her my suggestion. In the end, I decided to go out with her and perhaps can help her in releasing stress or whatsoever. I thought it’ll be just some window-shopping in Bugis for a few hours and, that’s it. I was totally wrong. Sometimes things are more fun when they come truly spontaneously and unplanned. After taking neo-print in Bugis, we drummed in the arcade, and had a very short shopping, and then decided to go Vivocity. So we proceeded there. Mainly to take photos there, I guess. We took lots of pictures there, in the playground, in front of and in some shops, in the park, etc, with some funny and stupid poses. We tried to persuade ourselves that no one knows us there so it’s fine. Then we had dinner there, and then decided to go Clarke Quay for the night view. The colourful lighting there was really amazing. Again, lots of pictures were taken. And in the end, we decided to walk to Esplanade from Clarke Quay. That time was around 9pm already, if I’m not wrong. Along the way, we walked, ran, sang, screamed, talked, whatever. I truly enjoyed the craziness. I do think it’s not easy to find a right company that can share your deep thoughts and feelings, and also can go crazy with you when you need to. I really treasure that. After Esplanade, we had no choice but to go back to hostel, thanks to the curfew that we were under.
21st November 2006 (Tues)
This was one of the rare peaceful days that I stayed free in hostel. I still had to crammed for my computing exam on Friday, remember?
22nd November 2006 (Wed)
Another unplanned crazy day. Accompanied my classmates to shop for their prom outfit in Orchard and Bugis. No one bought anything in the end =.=”. When we’re having dinner in Long John Silver, we decided to stay and play overnight in Alicia’s house. I seldom had much interaction with my classmates usually. That’s why I agreed to go despite the computing test on Friday. So I rushed back to hostel to tap my smart card (so that there’s a record of me going back) and go out again without tapping card. Then we met in Outram Par for the next activity – KTV. Being high and crazy in the KTV till midnight, and went to Alicia’s house in a cab. I thought I can learn mahjong there but to my disappointment, we didn’t play because we’re considerate of the neighbours. We played cards, Snake and Ladder, etc. Gloria and I were the biggest losers, unluckily. We had similar bad luck >.<
23rd November 2006 (Thurs)
Went back early in the morning, from Jurong West to Boon Keng. Was sleeping soundly on the bus. According to my friends, I sleeping look was horrible. Who cares… I was too tired and I seriously needed rest because I’ll still have my computing test on the next day! I continued my sleep in hostel until 1pm, had my lunch and started revising my computing. The triple-science students had just finished their A level today, and they planned to go Orchard for the Christmas decoration and ***c*e*n*s*o*r*e*d***. As a fun-loving slacker, I failed to resist the temptation. So I followed them out… and hoped that God / Buddha / Guanima / Mohammad / whoever just bless me for my computing test. Taken neo-print for the 2nd time in a week…
24th November 2006 (Fri)
My computing test in the evening. After that I rushed back to the hostel and changed for a gathering organized by World Vision, for the new child sponsors. Yup. I signed up for a child sponsorship program. Sounds silly huh? I don’t even have the ability to take care of myself… Anyway, my regret’s gone when I received my first letter from the cute 9-year-old boy in China. He said he’s started her school recently. He hopes I like him. Of course I do.
25th November 2006 (Sat)
Among all days, this was the freest one. I just stayed in hostel and relaxed…
26th November 2006 (Sun)
My first time to church! I went to City Harvest. Gloria brought me and sy there. I was really surprised when I knew almost everyone in the train was going to the same place like me. It’s really a huge church with thousands of people. Gloria introduced us to some of her friends. All of them were friendly to us, much beyond my expectation. They were impressively passionate and expressive during worship and prayer. Gloria had explained to me some things before I went there so that I will not be scared. I wasn’t. I think I’m open enough for new things in my life. Thanks a lot to her. It’s really an eye-opening experience to me. Then we went for the Loreal cosmetics sales in expo (must shop for prom!)… After having lunch with them, again I had to rush back for meeting with another senior friend in Clarke Quay. We walked a terribly long way to the bazaar. We walked the wrong way!!! Subsequently we rushed to Bugis for ‘The Battle of Wits’, and only then we had our dinner after 9pm…
27th November 2006 (Mon)
I woke up early in the morning just to bring my laptop to Bugis for service. Was planning to have a hair cut too. Around 11am, I got a call from sy saying that a hair cut in Jurong East saloon will have 30% off if we reached from 11am to 12pm. Omg… then I rushed to Jurong East from Bugis just for a cheaper hair cut, with sy and Gloria… Luckily the hair cut was really satisfactory, with a rather good service. Then… we took another neo-print after lunch… Next we went to Gloria’s house until evening. Rushed back to City Hall after that for servicing sy’s laptop, and found that there’s actually no problem with it!!! Despite carrying the heavy laptop, sy and I decided to go Bugis to shop for her summer wear in New York next year. Just because we wanted to save a bit money, we actually chose to walk from City Hall to Bugis. So this turned into another exhausting day.
28th November 2006 (Tues)
Went to Pasir Ris for CCA (mentoring) chalet. Spent the whole afternoon traveling there. After reaching and checking the items in the chalet, we went to the beach and played Frisbee. It’s a tiring and horrible one, because there’s strong wind affecting the flight of the Frisbee so we ended up throwing it to the wrong directions. Nevertheless it’s still fun since I had not been playing Frisbee since the very last mentoring session. Then we had barbeque. It’s a sad story. The guys started burning the charcoals since 5++pm but still failed after more than 1 hour. So the girls took the job, and sadly, also still failed after another one hour. Having no other choice, we asked for help from a Malay auntie in the next chalet. To everyone’s amazement, she did it in less than 10 minutes!!! Cool~ She just threw a few more charcoal in the fire pit and fanned it very strongly (much stronger than the guys!)… I thought we would do some tri-cheers for the auntie but we didn’t… Thanks to the auntie for saving us from starving. In the end, we had much more than enough food, so we played some game to finish the food during forfeits. Next, we played cards until midnight.
29th November 2006 (Wed)
Continued from the previous day…
Around 1++am, someone suggested to walk out to buy some alcoholic drinks in Cheers. After a long distance walk, we reached there but… “no alcohol from 1am to 6am”! Oh man… what kind of rule is this… So we decided to walk out to buy from the 7-11 near the interchange. Another long distance walk, and we got it. Went back in a cab then, and started card games again until morning. After another Frisbee game, we sat at the seaside and had some chit-chat. We left chalet after slacking for some time there.
30th November 2006 (Thurs)
This was an unlucky day. I was trapped by my friends, I suppose. Initially I planned to go Escape Theme Park with jh, ws and km. At the very last moment, jh and km decided not to go. Left me and ws. After some discussion, we still went to Escape. The games there weren’t very exciting, but it’s really cheap! With free ice-cream, snack, carnival games and gifts some more! The scariest thing for me was… what do you think? It’s haunted house! Anyway the whole thing was still quite fun la… When we reached hostel, km and jh were sitting and waiting in the lobby! Scandalous! Haha kidding
1st December 2006 (Fri)
Jh, km, ws and I went Daubi Gaut for Café Cartel set lunch and then ‘Casino Royale’. Subsequently we went shopping in Plaza Singapura and Bugis Junction for km’s and ws’s prom outfit. It all took the whole day…
2nd December 2006 (Sat)
I met a new Korean friend today!!! He is now having internship in a company at Bishan. Yeah~ Learnt some new Korean words! After meeting kr at vivo, we had some tea and proceeded to Sentosa. Oh my god! We’ve forgotten to donate money, kr! Haha… Because kr accidentally saw 20 dollar notes on the floor and thus picked them up, she felt rather uncomfortable with that. So I suggested donating half of them… but we didn’t! Anyway, we met the other friends in Sentosa beach… witnessed (accidentally) a wedding ceremony there. How romantic~ Then I was buried in the sand… Opps didn’t get the pictures from kr… After that, we played in the water… taken some photos with the (half-)naked guys. At night, kr, px, yy and I stayed at Pahlawan beach. We found this area with benches and umbrellas at the seaside. So we combined 3 benches and covered them with yn’s sleeping bag, making it like a bed. How nice! (thanks yn =D) We lied there, reminiscing…
3rd December 2006
It was so perfect until 2am, a group of Miss and Mr M intruded our territory T.T They didn’t seem friendly. By quantity, we were of disadvantage. But we still had some edge over them. We understand their language but they thought we don’t, and they don’t understand ours. Sadly in the end, as the nice guys, we still chose to leave. That was around 3++am already… We walked quite a long distance to some where we can get taxi, for about 1 hour… Though it’s scary to walk in the quite and dark paths, it’s an unforgettable experience. Finally we got a taxi to vivo and met the guys that had just watched the midnight movie. Found a place in the park and played cards there until morning… After a rest in hostel, kr and I went out for *s*o*m*e*t*h*i*n*g* (due to some reason, I shall not mention it) for the whole night. It’s seriously tiring. We walked a lot.
4th December 2006
Accompanied kr to NUS to get something from a senior friend. Then we rushed to Orchard for Kbox with px and sy! We sang from 2pm to 8pm!!! 6 hours… but it took less than 40 dollar for 4 of us… it’s super cheap compared to the normal price. Then we went to Fish&Co for dinner. We were really lucky. That day was the 6th anniversary of Fish&Co, we had free cake because we went there between 8-9pm. I was drunk… I didn’t know the drink contained tequila… only realized that after I reached hostel and found that I was a bit high, with the red-burning cheeks.
5th December 2006
Continued packing for the whole morning. Around 3++pm, we started to prepare ourselves for the prom night. Hair, cosmetics, dress, sandals, bags, whatever. Women usually have to do much more compared to men. So unfair… Anyway it was fun doing all these =P Prom night itself was actually nothing much. Mainly taking pictures, a bit of eating, and that’s it. After coming back to the hostel, I didn’t actually plan to sleep because it was really the last night that we all can be together already… We exchanged photos from computer to computer, played cards, sang together, and, oh ya… cooked and then ate sausages together
Eventually we still went back to rest around 4++am (if I’m not wrong)…
6th December 2006
I slept for 1 hour only. Then I had to rush to Woodlands by 7.30am. As usual, I was bluuuuuuuuur… and I’ve forgotten to bring lots of stuff. A big thank you for my friends that offered help and accompanied me until I left. Sorry for making you guys worried. I thought I could be very cool. I couldn’t. My tears just dropped like mad once I entered the cab. On the way to Woodlands, I started reminiscing again. My expression must be very funny that time. I smiled when I thought of something happy and funny, and felt sad suddenly when I realized that the days wouldn’t come back anymore…
